With more than 15 years of experience in this area, Paula has spent a large part of her professional career as a manager in the transfer pricing department of Deloitte.
Paula will optimise the firm’s service strategy in areas such as comprehensive advice on transfer pricing policies, defence in tax inspection procedures, valuation of intangible assets, assistance in amicable procedures and prior agreements with the administration (APA) and price paid allocation processes (PPA), in the framework of related-party transactions, all with a particular focus on international groups.
She has extensive experience in the management of global compliance and documentation projects, and has carried out multiple projects on the design and implementation of transfer pricing policies. She has also participated in inspections and projects with various tax administrations including Spain, Italy, France, Germany and the Netherlands, assisting multinational groups in various sectors, in particular consumer, pharmaceutical, financial and logistics.
For Paula Martín, her incorporation is “a very interesting challenge in my professional career, creating a department with so much potential at a key moment in which a redesign of the tax regulations that especially affect large companies is being carried out, both nationally and internationally.”
Paula remarks that “in the current economic situation, the Government’s need to effectively manage an increase in tax collection puts the transfer pricing policy of multinational groups in the eye of the hurricane”, with an “increasing specialisation of tax inspectors” and the “inclusion in the government’s tax control plan of tax inspections in this area.”
Monserrat Turrado, partner in charge of the Tax department, comments that “with the incorporation of Paula we will be able to offer advice that our clients have been asking for for some time. In addition, we have the support of our international network to promote this area, so we have great confidence in the leadership that Paula will provide to consolidate this project.”
