This news has been known after last January the company Metalúrgica Medina S.A. received approval from the Dirección General de Calidad y Sostenibilidad Ambiental (Directorate General for Environmental Quality and Sustainability) to increase its annual lead alloy production capacity from 58,970 to 70,000 tonnes.
The National Commission for Markets and Competition (CNMC) was informed about this transaction and past February 16th authorised it (1st phase). This way, Clarios Iberia P&D, S.L. will be the only owner of Metalurgica De Medina, S.A.
