Juan Grangel Vicente joins Baker McKenzie as of counsel to strengthen the Labour and Employment department. With this appointment, Baker McKenzie gives a new strategic boost to this key area for the firm.
Juan Grangel Vicente’s extensive professional career includes several posts in the Labour Inspectorate, as well as Director of the National Anti-Fraud Office, member of the group of European experts advising the Commission of the European Union on the creation of the European Labour Authority, member of the Board of Directors of the European Labour Authority, representative of the Spanish Government in the European Platform on Undeclared Work, among others. Since February 2020, Juan Grangel has been Chief Labour and Social Security Inspector, assigned to the Territorial Directorate of the Labour and Social Security Inspectorate in Madrid.
A Law graduate from the University of Zaragoza (2004) and a civil servant in the Senior Corps of Labour and Social Security Inspectors since 2009, Juan is also an associate lecturer in Labour Law and Social Security at the Autonomous University of Madrid and has teaching experience giving numerous trainings in various seminars on the subjects of the Labour and Social Security Inspection System, such as at the CES (Economic and Social Council), trade unions, business and concerning sports law at the La Liga Foundation and the AFE Union.
