Aurica Capital instructs Cuatrecasas on Aurica Growth Fund IV creation

Cuatrecasas has advised Aurica Capital Desarrollo SGEIC, S.A. on the creation of Aurica Growth Fund IV, a venture capital fund and company, whose investment policy will specialise in taking minority stakes in mid-cap companies with EBITDA of more than €5 million euro, and which seeks to invest €250 million.

-

This is the first fund to be launched by the firm in its new phase as an independent private equity manager, following its change of shareholding, after which Banco de Sabadell ceased to be the majority shareholder and now holds 20% of the total shares, while the remaining 80% is held by the management team.

With this transaction, Aurica is on track to achieve its objective: to raise €250 million for the Fund, which will allow it to continue and increase its investment capacity.

The team involved in the transaction was made up of Cuatrecasas lawyers Jorge Canta, Guillem Martínez Guimet and Edvinas Kiskis. Jorge Canta, the partner in charge of the advisory services, highlights the importance of a transaction that consolidates Aurica as a leading private equity manager in Barcelona.
