Marta Olavarría has a long track record of almost 30 years of experience as a Financial Regulation lawyer. She started her career at AB Asesores as a Capital Markets lawyer, and joined Morgan Stanley in 2000, becoming head of Legal in 2004. In 2008, she was appointed head of Legal of Caizabank Private Banking, and she later became Legal director of Banco Madrid, joining Deloitte´s Financial Regulation & Compliance area as director in 2015. She has also worked as of counsel at finreg360, and at CoreCapital and Inverco.
In January 2021, she joined the independent consulting firm D4Suite as a senior consultant for Financial Markets & Sustainable Finance, from where she now joins Auren.
She teaches Sustainable Finance at Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles (IEB) and also directs the school programmes on the matter. She has also taught at UFV-ADEN Business School in the post-graduate degree in Banking & Finance.
Marta is a Law graduate from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and holds a variety of post-graduate degrees and certifications in Corporate Compliance and Telecommunication Law, being also an EFPA ESG advisor.
