Lighthouse Properties Plc has acquired the company that owns the Torrecárdenas Shopping Centre in Almería, in a transaction worth €172 million according to market sources. This is the first major retail investment transaction to close in the Spanish market since the outbreak of the pandemic.
The Torrecárdenas shopping centre was built by Sevillian developer Bogaris and opened its doors in October 2018. Finally, it has been the Lighthouse Properties group that has acquired the complex, thus closing its first transaction in the Spanish market. The South African fund has been advised by the consultancy firm RPE and the Legal firm Ashurst, while Dentons was in charge of the Due Diligence and Tax matters with partner María Cortizas and associate Diego Carrera.

Ashurst´s team was led by Corporate partner Pedro Ester, together with Corporate senior associate Tannia Rodriguez and Real Estate counsel Joaquin Macías, and counted on the support of Finance partner and head of Global Markets Irian Martínez, together with Finance associate Manuela Sanz.
Bogaris’ legal counsel was Cuatrecasas, that acted with a team led by partners Bernat Mullerat and Javier Rodríguez Alonso.
