A&O promotes Corporate/M&A counsel in Madrid

Allen & Overy has promoted Corporate/M&A senior associate Pablo Méndez to counsel, as part of the firm´s global round of promotions

Lawyers in 20 of Allen & Overy’s offices across Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe and the U.S. have been promoted to counsel, effective 1 May 2022. The promotions span all six of A&O’s main practices of Banking, Corporate, International Capital Markets, Litigation, Real Estate and Tax. Of the 57 promotions, 32 of the new counsel are women.

In Madrid, the firm has promoted to counsel senior associate Pablo Méndez, from the firm´s Corporate/M&A department.

Pablo has broad experience in a variety of corporate work including private M&A, joint ventures and restructuring, advising both domestic and international clients, sponsors and founders.

Pablo supports clients in local and multi-jurisdictional deals and leads multidisciplinary cross-border teams.

He has worked for a variety of investment strategies, from traditional PE investments to infrastructure investments with particular focus on infrastructure, energy and TMT assets.
Ranked by Best Lawyers publication since 2020 as leading M&A lawyer.

Pablo started his career at Baker McKenzie, and joined Allen & Overy Spain in 2014 as a Corporate/M&A associate, making senior associate in 2019. He is a Law graduate from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (E-1), and holds a Master´s degree in Company Law from IE Law School and from William & Mary- Marshall Wythe Law School.
