Pablo Doñate Gazapo de Badiola, who was hired in 2020 by Martínez-Echevarría & Rivera abogados to reinforce its Litigation area, joins now Andersen Madrid office as a partner.
Doñate has a degree in Law and a diploma in Business Studies from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas (ICADE) and a Master’s degree in Legal Advice for Companies from IE Law School. He also holds an Advanced Studies diploma in Litigation from a doctorate programme and has completed various advanced programmes in Litigation and Arbitration at IE Law School.
In November 2020, he joined Martínez-Echevarría & Rivera Abogados as a partner, having worked in the Litigation and Arbitration department of national and international firms such as Cuatrecasas, Ashurst and Clifford Chance. He has advised national and foreign clients from all kinds of sectors on Public and Private Law, both in the Legal field and in the field of national and international Arbitration, where he has also acted as arbitrator. He has qualified experience in all types of Criminal Litigation related to business, including those before the Audiencia Nacional (National High Court).
He is a Litigation Law associate professor at the Instituto de Empresa (IE Law School) and lectures on the Master’s degree in Access to the Legal Profession at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE). He is a member of the Spanish Arbitration Club, the Court of Arbitration of the Official Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Madrid and of the European Association of Arbitration (AEADE). Pablo has been selected by the international legal directory “Best Lawyers in Spain” in the Litigation Law area since 2012, as well as in the Arbitration and Criminal Law area.
