Jaime Espejo joins from Andersen, where he was a partner in the Corporate Department of the Madrid office.
He has been a former Partner of prestigious law firms such as Estudio Legal, Landwell – PwC, Roca Junyent and Olleros Abogados.
His practice specializes in M&A and Corporate Law, with more than 30 years of experience, Jaime has provided advice in numerous acquisitions and dispositions of companies/businesses (LBO/MBO/MBI), start-ups, corporate restructurings, joint ventures and commercial contracting in a wide range of industries, advising to both corporate clients and private equity houses (domestic and international). He has wide experience in legal, and due diligence.
Throughout his career, he has held the position of secretary or Legal counsel on the Board of Directors of more than 100 companies (domestic and multinational). He has proven experience in advising clients in all matters of corporate law, including board secretarial, legal work, company reorganizations, governance schemes and shareholders agreements.
In the academic field, he is a lecturer of the Master’s degree for Bar Access at Universidad San Pablo-CEU (Madrid), as well as an author of numerous articles and academic papers. He is also a regular speaker at events and seminars.
He has been a distinguished lawyer by The Legal 500 in Commercial, Corporate and M&A Law and recommended by Best Lawyers in Corporate and M&A Law, as well as Investment.
Jaime holds a degree in Law from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE), as well as a Master’s degree in Foreign Trade from Instituto de Empresa (IE) and a diploma in Tax Advice to Companies from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE).
