Spanish startup Hotelverse successfully closed a Series A funding round of €1 million, which it will use to expand its business model based on the creation of API-ified digital twins for hotels.
The company will use this capital injection to promote the national and international growth of its innovative tool, aimed at optimising and improving the user experience in hotel reservations without intermediaries.
Investors include hotel group Iberostar, venture capital firm Archipelago Next, family office Areyhold, Toni Nadal and entrepreneur Braulio Arsuaga, CEO of the Presidente group and President of Mexico’s National Tourism Business Council (CNET).
Fermín Carmona, co-founder and CEO of Hotelverse, highlighted that with this capital “we will be able to accelerate the expansion of our platform and help the hotel sector move towards a more digital and profitable booking model”. Rafael Bover, co-founder and COO, said that “this first round allows us to perfect our solution and bring it to a greater number of hotels”.
Javier Bustillo, partner in Andersen´s Corporate and M&A practice, led the advice on this deal, along with associate Cintia García, from the same department.
