Andersen, Cuatrecasas advise on Nexxus´acquisition of Aerocámaras

Andersen has advised Nexxus Iberia on its acquisition of Galicia-based Aerocámaras from Next Aviation, with the seller represented by Cuatrecasas

Nexxus Iberia has announced that Nexxus Iberia Private Equity Fund I has completed its ninth investment in Aerocámaras.

Founded in 2007 in Lalín (Pontevedra), Aerocámaras, owned by Next Aviation S.L., is a provider of online and classroom training courses for piloting unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The company offers training for official licenses and specialised training courses focused on specific applications in different sectors (emergency services, agriculture, energy, infrastructure, security, audiovisual production, etc.). Aerocámaras is the leader in the training sector in Spain with more than 30,000 certified students, 30 official centres throughout the Iberian Peninsula and instructors with more than 25,000 flight hours.

Aerocámaras also offers a growing portfolio of industrial services, aeronautical management services and equipment supply, being a 360 / one-stop-shop provider in the drone market. Within its varied range of drone services, it is particularly committed to maritime logistics through the companies Drones Maritime (joint venture with Peninsula Petroleum), focused on maritime logistics for merchant ships, and Drone to Yacht, focused on maritime logistics for pleasure craft.

The company is currently present in Spain and Portugal and has already started its expansion process in Europe and Latin America.

Andersen advised Nexxus with a team led by Barcelona office Corporate/M&A partner José Ignacio Parellada.

Cuatrecasas advised the seller, Next Aviation S.L., with a Vigo office team made up of Corporate/M&A partner Luis Güell Cancela, Tax associate Alejandro Bruzon Amado and Corporate/M&A associate Sara Mondelo Rodríguez.
