Andersen advises Pictet on Abacus’ logistics centre acquisition

Andersen has advised Pictet, a private bank specialising in asset and wealth management, on the purchase of the logistics centre it has acquired from Abacus, the Spanish bookstore and school supplies chain, for €31.5 million

The facilities located in Catalonia have 25,000 square metres and 48 loading bays.

The facilities, located in the Catalonian municipality of Vilanova del Camí, have 25,000 square meters and 48 loading bays. The transaction, valued at €31.5 million, has been structured through a sale & leaseback operation whereby Abacus will remain in the facilities on a leasehold basis for the next 17 years.

Maite Hernández, Andersen’s Real Estate partner, together with Arnau Galera, an associate of this department, has been responsible for advising on the transaction.
