Bolivar comes from Uría Menéndez, where he has worked for the last 12 years in both its Valencia and Madrid offices. Miguel focuses his practice on Corporate and Commercial Law, Mergers and Acquisitions and Private Equity.
He has participated in several domestic and cross-border Acquisitions, Mergers and other Corporate transactions advising Spanish and foreign clients, including private equity funds and companies from various industries. He has extensive experience in negotiating and closing M&A deals and coordinating Due Diligence processes. In addition, he has advised on the Restructuring of business groups and the incorporation of joint ventures in different jurisdictions.
He has also been actively involved in Financing and Refinancing processes and routinely advises clients in a wide variety of Corporate, Corporate Governance, Commercial and contractual matters.
For Enrique Lucas, managing partner of Anaford in Valencia, this incorporation “consolidates the growth of the Commercial and Corporate Law department, as well as the firm’s commitment in the areas of M&A and Private Equity, areas in which Anaford has been particularly active in recent years.”
The new partner was based at Slaughter and May’s London office in 2016. His practice has been focused on the negotiation and execution of M&A transactions, both for industrial clients and private equity funds, both nationally and internationally.
In addition to company purchase and sale transactions, he has been regularly advising on Financing and Refinancing transactions (syndicated and bilateral), participating in some of the main Refinancing transactions in the Valencian Community. He also has extensive experience advising clients from different sectors on Corporate Law, Corporate Governance, and contractual matters, both on a day-to-day basis and on specific matters of particular importance.
Bolivar is also a distinguished lecturer. He currentñy lectures Commercial Law at EDEM and teaches Mergers & Acquisitions on the Master’s degree in International Business Law at the Universidad CEU-Cardenal Herrera. His extensive experience and excellent background also make him a regular participant in lectures and seminars.
He is a Law graduate from Centro Universitario Villanueva (part of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid). He also holds a Finance degree from Centro Universitario Villanueva, and a Master´s degree in Sports Law from Universidad de Valencia.
