Ander Michelena and Jon Uriarte founded all Iron Ventures. In 2009, out of their hometown of Bilbao (Spain), they founded Ticketbis, a secondary ticketing market for fans to buy and sell diverse tickets (e.g. concerts and sports events).
With annual sales exceeding $100mn, Ticketbis was acquired by eBay in 2016 for a reported €165mn. By the time of the acquisition, Ticketbis operated in nearly 50 countries worldwide and employed 450+ employees across 14 offices in Europe, Central and South America, Asia and Australia. Today, Ticketbis is regarded as one of the top success stories in the history of Spanish startups and a landmark example of efficiency (only € 14M raised) and returns to investors.
Now they have hired Teresa Checa, who joins from Société Générale, to lead its Legal department. A Law graduate from Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICAI-ICADE, she also holds an LLM from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and ISDE Law & Business School. Although she joined All Iron Ventures from Société Générale, where she was working for the last two years and four months as an associate lawyer, she previously worked at Linklaters as a Banking practice associate for almost five years.
