Alejandro Rey left Ayuela Jiménez in 2021, where he was an Insolvency partner, and founded RS Boutique Legal. He is the president of the Spanish Insolvency Law Club (CEDI), and holds more than 15 years of experience in the Spanish legal market, advising international and national companies on Corporate, Restructuring and Insolvency matters. He is a regular contributor to legal publications on Insolvency Law, as well as to the academic world – both in the public and private sector.
Diego Gutiérrez Medina was until now a partner at CGC Abogados, and is vice-president of CEDI. Diego Gutiérrez has developed his professional career in the field of Commercial Law, with special emphasis on Corporate and Insolvency Law, combining the work of a company lawyer with the handling of insolvency proceedings, in his various positions, both as counsel for the insolvent party or creditor, and as insolvency administrator appointed in multiple proceedings by the Commercial Courts of Madrid and Barcelona. He combines his professional work with teaching at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where he teaches the subject of Commercial Law on the Law Degree, as well as the subject of Insolvency Law on the Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession.
“With the union of Diego Gutiérrez Medina, his team, and my professional project, we intend to respect the path previously marked by both of them with the high specialisation in insolvency law and business law as an added value to offer to our clients. The birth of the new firm means a new stage of illusion and growth for the team, especially for me,” said Alejandro Rey.
According to the firm, “RSGM Abogados is born after years of professional practice that recommend applying essential basic principles without which the new firm does not understand the legal profession: The pursuit of high professional specialisation in the resolution of business disputes and in pre-insolvency and insolvency situations, the understanding of the practice of law from a point of view that goes beyond merely advising those who have placed their trust in our professionals is the basic premise on which we work, the personal accompaniment of our partners and lawyers in the solution of particularly conflictive situations and in those that are not so conflictive, and the search for excellence and detail in the practice of those matters that surround business law and in-depth knowledge from a practical and academic point of view.”
