The conference ‘Agribusiness, new challenges’, held on Tuesday 10 May at the Hotel Jerez in Jerez de la Frontera, closed with great sensations among the participants and with a clear vocation to convene new editions and become a benchmark for the sector from now on. The organisers highlight a large number of attendees – the majority of the forum was made up of businessmen from the agricultural and agri-food sector – as well as the topics addressed and the quality of the presentations given at the two round tables that made up the event.
The participants agreed on the main demands and challenges facing the Andalusian agrifood sector, such as legislative clarity in the reforms underway, the need for water for irrigation, greater control of imports and the real defence of the sector in Europe. During the course of the conference, it also became clear that the expert lawyer is an important ally in the defence of the food industry, both individually and collectively.
