The son of former Spanish President Adolfo Suárez started his career as a lawyer in 1990 at Banco Popular. In 1998 he decided to go one step further and founded Suárez & Illana Abogados until joining RHGR (later ONTIER) in July 2010. He left ONTIER in 2018, where he was international president and from where he had advised big multinationals, to focus on politics.
His most recent track in politics was for the last five years, where he was a member of the Partido Popular Parliamentary Group for Madrid during the XIII and XIV Legislature, and fourth Secretary of the Congress Bureau. Suárez is now partner and sole administrator of Alcobendas-established Adolfo Suárez Abogados SL. Spain´s BORME (official gazette of the Mercantile Registry) published its appointment as administrator on March 13, having started operations on February 22.
Suárez had already stressed when he left politics in 2022 that he is “a legal professional” and not “a career politician”. He affirmed that “situations change” and circumstances are no longer the same as they were when he took the political step to join the list for Madrid. For this reason, he felt that he must “resume” his obligations to his environment and his private work.
Adolfo Suárez holds a Law degree from Universidad CEU San Pablo and an LLM from Harvard University.
