Pilar is a Law graduate from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and holds a Master´s degree in Legal Advice to Companies from IE Business School, as well as a Legal Lead Leadership programme from Harvard University.
She joins ADNOC Drilling from CEPSA, where she worked as head Legal counsel in the company´s Middle East Assets division.
At the core of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company’s (ADNOC) upstream activities and the sole provider of drilling rig services in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, ADNOC Drilling is the strategic enabler of ADNOC Group’s current and future oil and gas production programs. Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, ADNOC Drilling is the largest national drilling company in the Middle East by rig fleet size.
Pilar started her career at KPMG Abogados as an associate, and in 2006 she joined Linklaters as Mainstream Corporate M&A lawyer, where she worked for four years to later join Baker McKenzie for another four years as a team leader in the firm´s M&A, Energy and Restructuring areas. She jumped to the Energy in-house world in 2015 when she joined the Spanish energy multinational CEPSA, as senior Legal counsel and head of the company´s Middle East Assets Legal service.
She now joins ADNOC Drilling, to provide legal support to the business strategy through the advice on complex contractual issues, M&A and new ventures transactions within the energy sector.
