Jorge Vaquero is a specialist in Sports Law. He has acted as Legal advisor to several sports federations since then until he joined the RFEF’s Legal department at the age of 27, handling dozens of judicial and administrative proceedings. In 2016 he joined the General Secretariat as head of cabinet, from where he expanded his knowledge to other areas of action.
Until his appoinment, he was a freelance FIFA Disciplinary department advisor to sports entities and athletes in multiple aspects of their sporting or contractual activity, and founded V Sports Legal.
Jorge has worked with the CSD, the Spanish Triathlon Federation and Madrid’s motorcycling, tennis, skating and rugby federations, among others.
He has been appointed Legal director of the Spanish Sports Directors Association (ADDE), as well as member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation (RFEA).
ADDE is the first association made up of sports directors, technical secretaries, analysts, scouts and academy directors. ADDE was created in 2022, based on Royal Decree 1006/1985 of 26 June 1985, which regulates the special employment relationship of professional sportsmen and women. The aims of the association are based on the guidance, advice and defence of its members with regard to sporting activities, as well as representing and protecting their interests, promoting activities related to the professional promotion and other labour rights of professional Sports Directors, as well as the corresponding training; training of Sports Directors and their subsequent employment; trade union activities, among other aims.
Jorge is a Law graduate from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, and holds a Master´s degree in Sports Law from INEFC Lleida, a FIFA diploma in Football Law and Senior Sports Management training from the Spanish Olympic Committee.
