Javier holds two Bachelor’s degrees in Law and Political Science with a Diploma in International Relations from the Instituto Católico de Administración y Dirección de Empresas (ICADE) as well as a Master’s degree (LL.M.) with a concentration in Business Law from the University of California, Berkeley. Likewise, he is a PhD. Candidate in Civil Law at Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM).
He treasures more than a decade of PQE in all kinds of civil and commercial disputes, and he is admitted to the practice of law in Spain and the State of New York. Moreover, he has passed ICAM’s Training Course for Arbitrators and the Civil and Commercial Mediation Specialization Program from Universidad CEU San Pablo.
Further to his professional track, Javier lectures classes and conferences at different higher education institutions (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid-UAM, ICADE, UCM, ICAM Training Center) and regularly publishes legal reviews within the main newspapers and journals of the legal sector. He also actively collaborates in fostering and defending the legal profession through the Board of ICAM’s Young Lawyers Division (AJA Madrid) and in the development of Arbitration in Spain through the Spanish Arbitration Club (CEA) Commission for Spanish Case Law and Legislation.
