Acciona Energy hires Legal counsel from Osborne Clarke

Acciona Energy has hired Álvaro San Felipe, who joins from Osborne Clarke, as Legal counsel

San Felipe was until now a senior associate at Osborne Clarke. He has a multidisciplinary educational background, mainly focused on public policies, and international affairs, with work experience in different law-related positions (private companies, public administrations, and prestigious law firms).

Prior to joining Osborne Clarke, he worked at Deloitte Legal specialising in Regulated Sectors: particularly Energy, Technology, Media and Audiovisual and Telecommunications, Transport, and Infrastructure, and Public Procurement. He has also been involved in matters concerning other types of industries (pharmaceuticals, tourism, consumer, and services) as well as in projects linked to other areas of Public Law practice (environment, subsidies, etc.).

He started his career as a junior lawyer at Garrigues, working later at CMS Spain for more than three years. He is a Law & International Relations graduate from Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICAI-ICADE. He took an inside programme in Law, Development, and Diplomacy from Georgetown University. He also holds a Business Law Master’s degree from the Centro de Estudios Garrigues, Executive training in Commercial Law, Public Law, Insolvency Law, Tax Law, Labour Law, Competition Law from the same centre, and a Master’s degree in Energy from the Club Español de la Energía (Enerclub).

Acciona Energy, a subsidiary of Acciona based in Madrid, is a Spanish company developing renewable energy projects, including small hydro, biomass, solar energy and thermal energy, and the marketing of biofuels.
