Abdón Pedrajas Littler adds partner

Abdón Pedrajas Littler has strengthened his team with the signing of Juan Carlos Fernández, who has worked in recent years at Labbormatters and Andersen, as partner

This is a new signing that is part of the unstoppable growth and international projection that the firm has experienced in recent years. With this addition, the firm now has a total of fifteen partners.

Prior to joining Abdón Pedrajas Littler, Fernández was a senior associate at the boutique Labormatters Abogados, founded in October 2021 by a team of employment lawyers from Andersen, a firm he joined in 2019. He has also been head of RRLL and HR Manager at General Electric Healthcare España (Madrid), and has worked at other reputable firms such as Garrigues, Sagardoy or Abdón Pedrajas itself, where he had already worked as an associate in a first professional stage.

Fernández is an expert in Labour Law with more than 15 years of professional experience, providing legal-labour advice to national and international companies in all aspects related to restructuring processes such as collective dismissals, collective suspensions of employment contracts and/or reductions in working hours, labour reorganisations in pre- and/or bankruptcy proceedings, labour aspects linked to processes of sale and purchase, mergers, spin-offs or segregation, etc., both internally and externally.

He also has extensive experience in the forensic practice of all types of matters, both individual and collective and procedural. Thus, throughout his career, he has provided legal assistance and representation in contentious proceedings before the Social Courts and Tribunals (in relation to different employment matters such as dismissals, claims for employment discrimination, stock options, illegal assignment, collective disputes, etc.), as well as comprehensive advice on non-contentious matters (recruitment, individual and collective dismissal proceedings, compliance, company successions, Social Security, substantial changes in working conditions, geographical mobility, salary issues, etc.).

He has also specialised in digital rights and teleworking, and in the area of contracting and subcontracting of production activity, advising on the labour aspects of all types of production decentralisation and business succession projects. Other areas that complete his expertise are expatriations and international relocations, as well as all labour aspects related to senior management.

He is a Law graduate from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and holds a master’s degree in legal-Labour consultancy (Sagardoy Foundation), the new partner of Abdón Pedrajas Littler combines his work as a lawyer with his teaching as an associate lecturer in the Diploma in Labour Relations and the Degree in Labour Sciences at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
