The Barcelona-based company Decántalo Vinos, S.L., controlled by Oriol Ripoll and Héctor Pla, has joined Le Petit Ballon, a company belonging to the French group COGIP and founded in 2011, pioneer in France in the online sale of wine and which today has more than 150,000 subscribers.

The Catalan company -which will continue under the management of its founders- has a presence in Spain, Germany, UK, Switzerland, as well as France.

Decántalo is based in Barcelona and currently employs 29 workers, and with this deal is now integrated into the Le Petit Ballon group, although the two companies will continue to operate under their own brands.

The two companies expect to reach a combined turnover of 40 million euros this year.

In this way, the two firms aim to join forces with this union and create synergies that will allow them to accelerate growth, consolidating their positions in the European wine market.

The Barcelona-based company, which will maintain its brand and whose founders will continue to run the business, will also strengthen its presence in France and will act as the French group’s main shop in the rest of the markets in which it operates.

4|5|3 advised the French group on this deal with an M&A team led by its managing partner Toni Fitó. Together with lawyer Marta Cacho.

DWF-RCD acted as Legal advisor to the sellers with a team led by partner Óscar Alegre.
